In all periods of the language, from the roots sthā stand drink, and ghrā smell, are made the presents tíṣṭhāmipíbāmi (with irregular sonantizing of the second p), andjíghrāmi — which then are inflected not like mímāmi, but like bhávāmi, as if from the present-stems tíṣṭhapíbajíghra.
